Cherokee Firefighter Brice Futch Announces Run for State Senate

Brice Futch, a Cherokee County firefighter and the leader of a conservative advocacy group, has announced that he will run for Georgia Senate District 21.

District 21 is the seat held by state Sen. Brandon Beach, R-Alpharetta, who was recently tapped President Donald Trump as Treasurer of the United States.

In his announcement, his campaign says Futch has deep roots in Cherokee and is running as a “proven, MAGA conservative” ready to lead and “upset the status quo in Atlanta.”

“Georgia is facing real battles — from the classroom to the border to the economy — and we need true conservatives who don’t run from the fight,” Futch said. “I’ve spent my career running toward danger as a firefighter. Now I’m ready to do the same under the Gold Dome to protect our values and defend Georgia families.”

Futch is a fellow with the Club for Growth, and this year he was named a member of the Leadership Cherokee class of 2025.

His campaign reports that he has united grassroots leaders and “secured strong resources through his national conservative fundraising network.”

The campaign promises to focus on “eliminating the state income tax, expanding school choice, protecting children from radical agendas, defending life, and securing the southern border.”

“We need a bold, unapologetic Christian conservative voice at the State Capitol who supports President Trump, defends our kids, and will never back down from the woke mob,” Futch said. “I’m not a politician. I’m a fireman, a father, and a fighter for Georgia’s future. We want to see a future where hardworking Georgians can keep more of their hard earned money, where our streets are safe from drugs and gangs, and where we can live up to the preamble of our state’s Constitution, which implores us to ‘perpetuate the principles of free government, ensure justice for all, preserve peace, promote the interest and happiness of the citizen and family, and transmit to posterity the enjoyment of liberty.’”

Also running for Georgia Senate District 21 are Cherokee County Commissioner Steve West and local business owner Jason Dickerson.

The district includes areas in north, east and central Cherokee and parts of north Fulton County.

Futch is a leader in 575 F.O.O.L.S., a fraternity of 100-plus firefighters. He also leads the “Stand for Georgia Values” Foundation, a platform for conservative advocacy and civic engagement.

“This race is about courage, conviction, and conservative leadership,” Futch said. “I’m running to serve the people of District 21 with the same honor and urgency I’ve brought to every emergency call — and I won’t stop until Georgia is stronger, freer, and safer for the next generation.”
