“Home Schoolers For Futch” Coalition Champions Brice Futch’s Universal School Choice Plan
(Canton, GA) – A group of 25 home school advocates from Cherokee and Fulton Counties are campaigning for Brice Futch in Senate District 21 as part of the “Home Schoolers for Futch” Coalition.
The coalition is Co-Chaired by Jenny Murphy of Canton and Jackie Gray of Ball Ground. Futch has been advocating for universal school choice in Georgia and has made this issue a central tenet of his State Senate campaign. The coalition has been active throughout the race by hosting events, knocking on doors, and spreading the word about Futch’s education plan for Georgia. Heading into Election Day on August 26, the group is now heavily focused on get-out-the-vote efforts.
“I’ve seen Brice’s passion for education and the values that he brings to our group in government class,” said Murphy. “We’ve been with him for months and we’ll keep going strong until election day so ALL parents in Georgia can choose the best education for their kids whether that be public, private, or homeschool. Education is not a ‘one size fits all’, but rather a custom fit and Brice’s education policy promotes the best fit for all families.”
“It’s been such a privilege to work with Brice on this campaign,” said Gray. “The enthusiasm he brings to kitchen table issues for families is a breath of fresh air. We’re spreading the word all around District 21 for Brice to get out the vote for a true school choice advocate.”
Futch teaches history and government in a local home school and is actively involved in the home educator community. He has built momentum throughout the race – racking up conservative endorsements from Georgians who are looking for a fighter in the State Senate.
“We need universal school choice in Georgia, and we need leaders who will champion that fight,” said Futch. “This campaign represents families, and we must put parents in the driver’s seat when it comes to raising their kids. Our plan for universal school choice and advocating for families who educate their kids at home, is essential for a thriving and well-educated state.”
